happy birthday to me!

the last year of my 20's has begun

i can't believe it! next year i'll be 30! 18 doesn't seem like that long ago but it has been 11 years -- 11 years?? that can't be right! wth? where did the time go? how did i get where i am today? why didn't things turn out the way i imagined? is the way things turned out bad? - no i don't think so, just different. where am i headed, what is next for me? i have no clue. Am i scared? NO. i used to be. scared of what the future holds, afraid of the unknown. but now i look to what is to come with anticipation and excitement. the future is only what i make of it. i can do anything. i can be anything. i can -- anything.
So... hey 29! i ain't afraid of you - hit me with your best shot! i'm ready for ya!
And 30... i'll be seeing you soon, be ready for me!

YEP!

It started a little after 9 and stopped around 12:30 or so. It was BeAuTiFUL! it has almost completely melted now.

I also finished a layout i started last Sunday. it is my first page of 08!

Christmas Blues

Is it over yet? The level of Christmas spirit is overwhelming... If one more man lets a door slam in my face i'm going to go off!!! People are so crazy and rude this time of year. Traffic is out of control, everyone is sick - i'm getting sick - i've got the sniffles and the coughs and the aches and i'm tired and i just want to stay in bed and do nothing! It's warm and sunny at 70 degrees one day and freezing ass cold the next. What is up with the freaking weather? So i ask, can Christmas hurry up and be over already? I'm ready for some kind of normalcy. I'd settle for Old Man Winter to decide to either piss or getting off the pot.

About the only thing that has made me happy this joyous holiday season (yes, sarcasm is intended here) is the following. Watch and enjoy - oh and go elf yourself! :)

i tell ya, it was one down-right enjoyable episode. :)

the beach trip was interesting to say the least. a couple of times i would have liked to strangle my mother or at least just run off and left her in the current store she wouldn't leave...but then i look at the pictures. Is this adorable or what?! That is my mom on the right and my 85 year old grandmother on the left.

sad & happy too

I'm sad because i got expelled from the Top Designer contest. :( but it is okay. I look at it this way. At least i tried. I am trying to be more active in online contests, websites etc. And at least i didn't get knocked out the first week.

And i'm happy because i'm headed for the BEACH tomorrow morning!!!! Yay!!! I am sooooooo ready for a vacation.

We watched Resident Evil Extinction yesterday. it was pretty good. I jumped like a hundred times and Steven laughed at me each time.
